His vast career started with his 1st self-titled Release on Elektra Records in the 70’s. The studio band consisting of legendary players – “The Section” with Leland Sklar & Russ Kunkel AKA “The Immediate Family.” In the late 70’s Dana moved to Texas to be in a band with Shake Russell, releasing several albums together and performing on “Austin City Limits”. His move to Nashville produced collaborations with several established artists – Kim Carnes (Betty Davis Eye’s), Don Henry, Hal Ketchum, Kim Richey, Tom Kimmel & more.
